Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission celebrates 50 years
MARTINSBURG – Tuesday was a day to look backward and forward for the board of directors, staff and residents of the Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission. It was 50 years ago that the Union Rescue Mission first opened its doors to homeless men of the community and in the next few weeks, there will be a groundbreaking for a new, modern facility to provide services for men in need.
